Three, including infant, die in mishap

Two women and an one and half year old baby girl today died and seven others injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed a roadside tree near Kurichi in the city today.
While 65-year-old Muniammal and her grand daughter Tanishka, died on the spot, 60-year-old Lakshmi died on way to hospital, where the injured have been admitted, police said.
Police said the car driver lost control of the vehicle and dashed against the tree and then rammed the wall of a house near Aathupalam, in the early hours.
The occupants of the car were returning to Thudiyalur on the outskirts, from Pollachi, they said.
