Three injured in stone pelting in UP

Three persons, including a police constable, were injured when locals in Purbaliyan village pelted stones at a police team which had gone there to arrest four persons accused in a case, police said today.
The incident occurred last evening when the team had gone to the village to arrest the four accused.
The villagers pelted stones at the police and three of the accused managed to escape from the spot in the ensuing chaos. One accused was arrested, they said.
A case has been registered against several villagers, police said.
