The bus carrying labourers was going from here to an exploration site of GAIL at Kulai in Dhalai district this morning when it fell into the gorge while trying to overtake another vehicle, the police said.
One person died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries at the Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC).
22 injured persons have been admitted to AGMC. The hospital said the condition of five of them was serious.
