Anti Piracy cell sources told PTI that the three from the city were arrested early today. They had been working with the Censor Board earlier and had been expelled one and half months ago.
Cases have been registered against them under the IT Act, Copyright Act and cheating. Some more sections under IPC may be added, the official said.
Earlier, police had arrested three teenaged boys, including two school students aged between 15-19, from Kollam district in connection with the case.
The film's producer Anwar Rasheed had filed online complaint after the pirated version was found in circulation.
The hugely popular "Premam" helmed by Alphonse Puthren, had suffered a setback with the pirated version being circulated on internet, hitting its revenue.
