Three hardcore insurgents of outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura have surrendered before the Border Security Force at MaldaKumar-para Border Outpost in Dhalai district, BSF said today.
The ultras, who fled from hideouts in Bangladesh, surrendered yesterday to the Officer-in-charge of the BOP in Gandacherra subdivision.
The ultras deserted their hideout because of food shortage. They were also not paid their salaries for a long time.
The ultras, identified as Jospeh Reang, Basajay Aslong and Angiakrai Reang, have been handed over to the police.
