Three allegedly notorious robbers wanted in several robberies were arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi district today, the police said.
A police team led by the SHO of Bazar Shukul police station SK Pandey nabbed three robbers near Harakhmau village on the Raniganj-Bazar Shukul Highway under suspicious circumstances, Additional SP BC Dubey told reporters.
They were identified as Ajay Kumar of Shahpur, Sunil Giri of Tendua and Raj Karan of village Mangrauli under police station Bazar Shukul, he said.
Later, they confessed to their involvement in several incidents of robbery, he added.
The police recovered 10 cell phones, four motorcycles, a country-made pistol, some live cartridges and cash worth over Rs 2,000 from the possession of the three men.
