Three NSCN(K) cadres surrender with arms and ammunition

Three cadres of NSCN(K) surrendered with arms and explosive in front of government authorities at Peren district of Nagaland, Assam Rifles officers today said.
The three cadres made an unconditional surrender after their families expressed their wish to shun violence and join the mainstream, they said.
The cadres, whose identities were not disclosed for safety reasons, laid down weapons at a function held at the Deputy Commissioner Office complex, Peren yesterday.
The cadres laid down three pistols along with ammunition and a grenade in front of the Peren DC and Superintendent of Police and the Commandant of the 18 Assam Rifles.
