Three persons, including a woman, were arrested with one kg of suspected brown sugar in upper Assam's Tinsukia district Wednesday, police said.
Based on a tip-off, a joint team of police and CRPF intercepted a car in which three persons were travelling near bypass on Digboi Road, they said.
The contraband was estimated to be worth Rs 12 lakh in the international grey market, the sources said.
The suspected brown sugar will be sent for testing and investigations are on, the police added.
