At least three securitymen were killed today in a landmine blast triggered by Maoists near a culvert at Uchila village in Bihar's Gaya district.
"We have received initial confirmation of death of three security personnel in the landmine blast but the death toll could go higher," CRPF DIG Umesh Kumar said.
Maoists used Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) to trigger landmine blast on a vehicle carrying security personnel at Koili culvert around 12.40 PM, Kumar said.
The security forces were travelling by the vehicle for an awareness campaign among the people against the ultras when they were ambushed by the Maoists, he said.
