Three students drown in Krishna river

Three students of Mangalagiri town drowned in the River Krishna near Veerlapatem village in Guntur district today, police said.
"Five students had gone for swimming in the river, but three of them were swept away by the strong currents. The remaining two reached Duggirala and informed the police about the incident," Duggirala police station inspector L Anil Kumar Reddy said.
The victims were identified as Abhilash (21), Nagasiva (20) and Sai Sekhar (20).
The bodies were sent to Mangalagiri government hospital for post-mortem, they said.
