"The woman was found lying unconscious near her son's body by locals on the outskirts of the village under Kulkacharla police station limits this afternoon," Deputy Superintendent of Police (Chevella Sub-Division) Ch Sridhar told PTI over phone.
The woman, though not in a position to give exact details of the incident, has alleged that her husband has killed the child, the DSP said based on a preliminary investigation.
The boy was throttled and hence a murder case has been booked in connection with the incident, he said.
"She has been admitted to a local hospital and the doctors have said that she is in a drunken condition," he said.
However, Sridhar added that no liquor bottles were found at the spot.
