The fire broke out in the morning at the ticket counters (for unreserved) where computers were kept destroying the nearby furniture and blank tickets, they said.
Immediately fire tenders were rushed to the station and the flames were doused.
Top officials including Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Jaideep Gupta rushed to the spot.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The authorities have set up a three member committee to look into the fire accident, Public Relations Officer of Nagpur division, P D Patil said.
