Ties between Pak and China will strengthen under Xi: Zardari

President Asif Ali Zardari today expressed the hope that the "all-weather and multifaceted friendship" between Pakistan and China would be further strengthened under his new Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
In a message congratulating Xi on his election as President, Zardari said the confidence reposed in his leadership by the National People's Congress was a testament to his "hard work and years of devoted service to the people of China".
"The President also expressed the hope that the all-weather and multifaceted friendship between the two countries and its people would be further strengthened and taken to new heights," said a statement issued by the Foreign Office.

Zardari further expressed the hope that China will achieve "more momentous milestones in its pursuit of national rejuvenation and peaceful development" under Xi's leadership.
