Tight movements in gur prices

Gur prices continued to be enquired at previous closing levels in the wholesale gur (jaggery) market at national capital today in the absence of worthwhile activity.
A similar pattern of trading was also noticed at Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets with prices hovering around previous levels on some support.
Marketmen said small buying support largely kept prices at last levels.
Following are today's rates per quintal:
Gur chakku 3,200-3,300, pedi 3,200-3,300, dhayya 3,400-3,500 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket 2,600-2,650, chakku 2,750-3,100, khurpa 2,650-2,750 and Ladoo 2,900-3,000.
Muradnagar: Pedi 2,850-2,900 and dhayya 2,900-3,000.
