Tight movements in gur prices on little doings
Press Trust of India New Delhi Quiet conditions prevailed at the wholesale gur (jaggery) market in the national capital as prices in range-bound movements on some support, settled at previous levels.
Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur markets also displayed a steady trend.
Marketmen said absence of demand due to off season, largely kept prices unmoved.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 3,600-3,700, pedi Rs 3,800-4000, dhayya Rs 4,000-4,100 and shakkar Rs 4,100-4,200.
Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 3,000-3,050, chakku Rs 3,300-3,400, khurpa Rs 2,925-2,950 and Ladoo Rs 3,000-3,050.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 3,300-3,400 and dhayya Rs 3,150-3,175.
