The two groups will present the first of its kind concert here tomorrow which is a part of the annual music fest of Darebin Council.
The concert will kick off with a screening of live footage of India's first full-length feature film 'Raja Harish Chandra', accompanied by live music by the Tihai3 musicians.
"We have created this unique concert which is also to prove that Bollywood is not only about dancing but also about listening," Girish Makwana of Tihai3, who plays Tabla, said.
"We will be presenting the journey of Bollywood and beyond by playing over 14 songs judiciously picked from each decade of Bollywood from 1950s," Makwana said.
The trio have been presenting Indian music concerts for Darebin music Fest for the last six years.
Tihai3 will be joined on the stage by 20 musicians from the Preston Symphony Orchestra and also brother-sister singing duo Samrakshana and Keshav Ramachandran.
This year's concert involves a major collaboration with members of the Preston Symphony Orchestra, which is the result of a plan that has been slowly percolating for the past three years, Makwana said.
