Tin and nickel surge on consistent demand

Tin, nickel and copper prices surged at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists buying amid consistent demand from alloy industries.
While, brass sheet cuttings edged down due to poor offtake from industrial users.
Tin firmed up by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 1,510 from Wednesday's close at Rs 1,495 and nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 795 as compared Rs 790 yesterday.
Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 364, Rs 359 and Rs 392 as against Rs 362, Rs 357 and Rs 390, respectively.
Copper utensils inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 327.
However, brass sheet cuttings softened by a Re per kg to Rs 281.
