Tirumala shrine to be closed for 14 hours for solar eclipse

The famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near here will remain closed for about 14 hours from8.30 PM tomorrow on account of solar eclipse.
About 80,000 devotees from all over the country today thronged the hill temple on the occasion of "Mahasiva Ratri" today, TTD PRO Talari Ravi told PTI here.
Meanwhile about 1.5 lakh devotees offered worship at the famous shrine of Lord Shiva known as Lord Vaayulingeswara in Sri Kalahasti, 40 km from here, on the occasion of Mahasiva Ratri, an official at Sri Kalahasti said.
