Titagarh Wagon issues suspension of work notice

The Titagarh Wagon Limited today issued suspension of work notice at one of its two units at Titagarh in North 24 Parganas district.
The management put up the suspension of work notice at the gate of the unit.
The company chairman J P Chowdhary said "this aroused out of indiscipline by a few workers which led the management to take disciplinary action at which all workers went to pull down strike. For safety reason and for peace we declared suspension of work notice."
There is no major issued involved, so the matter is likely to be resolved soon, he said.

The unit employs around 500 workers.
Last one year there was no order from the railways but despite that no worker was laid off. But now when orders have come a few workmen are creating trouble, Chowdhury claimed.
