TMC mocks Buddhadeb, says LF destroyed industrial atmosphere

Trinamool Congress today mocked CPI(M) leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's call for industrialisation and said it was the erstwhile Left Front regime that had "destroyed" the industrial atmosphere of the state.
"We too believe that there is need for industrialisation and have taken up plans for it. We don't believe in fake slogans like CPI(M). It was CPI(M) which destroyed the industrial atmosphere of the state," TMC Secretary General Partha Chatterjee told reporters here.
"Now after being out of power all of a sudden they (CPI-M) have waken up from their deep slumber and are talking about industrialisation. We don't believe in their ideology of industrialisation, of killing people and raping women."

Bhattacharjee visited Singur, from where the Tata group had shifted their Nano car project to Gujarat, for the first time after eight years during the day and said if the car factory was set up the area would have changed.
"But only darkness prevails," he said while kicking off the week-long procession from Singur to Salboni, where JSW group had promised to set up a Rs 35,000 crore steel plant.
He also indicated that industrialisation of the state would be a big issue in the state assembly poll slated for later this year.

Chatterjee mocked Bhattacharya's visit to Singur saying "criminals" are known to revisit the crime spot.

"The criminals always have the tendency to visit the crime spot again. So the place where heinous crimes like loot of farm land, killing of people and rapes were committed has been revisited by them (CPI-M)," Chatterjee said.
State Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim said the more CPI(M) goes to Singur, the more farmers of the state will unite against it for the atrocities it had committed during the LF regime.
