"We are planning to felicitate the Olympic medal winners P V Sindhu and Sakshi Malik. We will communicate the matter to them. If they agree to accept our felicitation, then we will organise a gala felicitation ceremony here in Kolkata on behalf of our party's sports cell," Roy said.
Roy said the party would also felicitate gymnast Dipa Karmakar in Tripura, who narrowly missed the bronze in Rio Olympics.
India's woman wrestler Sakshi Malik won a bronze medal in the 58 kg category and shuttler P V Sindhu won a silver medal in the women's singles badminton competition at the Rio Olympics.
