The Trinamool Congress today revoked suspension of two of its MLAs - Siuli Saha and Dipak Haldar, who were suspended few months ago for alleged anti-party activities.
West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee today held a meeting with party leaders at her residence and the decision to revoke the suspension was taken in it.
"Siuli Saha and Dipak Haldar have tendered their apologies and have sought the revoking of suspension. The party supremo (Banerjee) today decided to revoke the suspension," TMC secretary general Partha Chatterjee told reporters.
TMC had suspended two MLAs Shilbhadra Datta and Shiuli Saha, considered close to former party general secretary Mukul Roy, in June for alleged anti-party activity.
Roy, who was once number two in TMC hierarchy, was shunned by the party leadership after he spoke against it on several occasions ever since he was interrogated by CBI in connection with the Saradha scam and much of his powers were taken away.
Although, Saha's suspension was revoked, Datta remains suspended.
"I am happy that my suspension has been revoked a I will work for the party," Saha said.
Haldar was suspended in September after he was arrested for his alleged involvement in a clash between rival factions of the party's students front at a college in South 24 Parganas district.
