The Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Secretariat AMP Jamaludeen, who is on a five-year extension since 2012, was relieved from his services today, sources indicated.
Sources indicated that "he has been relieved," and declined to elaborate further.
The senior official was given an extension of five years from June 1, 2012 on "public grounds."
The action comes days after a gazette notification of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Secretariat was issued notifying the disqualification of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa after she was convicted in an assets case.
