Chief Minister K Palaniswami launched the initiatives from here through video conferencing, an official release said.
Among others, he launched fish landing centres at two locations in Ramanathapuram district, which would help about 3,000 fishermen, it said.
An artificial insemination training centre and multi-level automated milk powder storage unit at Madurai, a storage unit at Coimbatore, a veterinary university research centre in Chennai and fodder preserving Centre at Thanjavur were also inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
He also inaugurated new buildings constructed to cater to the departments of Finance and Registration, the release added.
