The application 'Pinakin' compatible for both Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded free of cost would provide information with audio using which tourists can visit the places without the help of a guide, an official release said here today.
Initially, the app would provide information on world heritage tourist spots like Mammalapuram, the Big Temple in, Thanjavur and Gangai Konda Cholapuram and would be expanded to include other places in a phased manner.
Another release said a three-day Tourism Mart festival, which was planned for December 2015 but did not happen due to the preparations for assembly elections, would be conducted from May 20 this year.
