TN Guv hosts customary Independence day reception

Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao today hosted the customary Independence Day reception 'At Home' to various dignitaries including Chief Minister K Palaniswami.
Rao and his wife Ch Vinodha Rao, hosted 'At Home', which was attended by, among others, Palaniswami, Chief Justice of Madras High Court, Justice Indira Banerjee and former Governors M K Narayanan, Gopalkrishna Gandhi and M M Rajendran, a Raj Bhavan release said.
Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan, Director General of Police, T K Rajendiran, Chennai City Police Commissioner A K Viswanathan, MPs, MLAs, Vice-Chancellors, industrialists, academicians, members of voluntary and social service organisations and others were present, the release said.

The governor presented rolling trophies to the District/Municipal Corporation which excelled in Armed Forces Flag Day Collection 2015, it said, adding cultural programmes such as Bharatanatyam and Thappetta Gullu dance were also organised.
