TNAU student wins silver, qualifies for Nationals

A second year student in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University here has qualified for the National Athletic Championship in the High jump event.
Selvi S Shibani qualified after she won the silver medal in high jump event for women in the 89th Tamil Nadu Open State Senior Athletic Championship held at Chennai recently.
She won the silver by clearing a height of 1.63 metres, a TNAU release said today.
Shibani, doing here II Bsc (agri), has won gold medals in the Junior State Athletic Championships for the last three consecutive years and is entering the senior category this year for the first time, it added.
