A two-year-old boy, who consumed rat poison mistaking it for some food item, has died after battling for his life for 10 days, police today said.
The incident occurred on May 29, when the baby was playing in his house here and noticed a packet on the window. Mistaking it for some food article, the toddler consumed it.
The baby's mother noticed it when she found remnants of the poison in his fingers. Though the boy was rushed to a hospital immediately, his life could not be saved and he passed away yesterday, police said.
