The six-year-old is settling down in New York with her mother, Katie Holmes, while her father is busy filming, reported Radar online.
Cruise was nowhere to be seen on Suri's first day at school on September 11. Instead, Holmes dropped her off at posh private school, the Avenues, in Chelsea, New York.
"Suri is used to her dad being away filming and not spending every single day with him. She loves the daddy daughter time they get together," a source said.
"She always spent time with him either on set or at home and even on vacation so she has really adjusted well," it added.
The father-daughter were last seen together while enjoying a high profile vacation to Disney World on August 2.
During the trip, Suri was lavished with attention by Cruise as they stayed at the Cinderella Castle and splashed around in the Typhoon Lagoon.
