Steele, 78, will tour theatres across the UK from August, to tell the story of the iconic performer, reported Digital Spy.
A live 16-piece authentic Glenn Miller orchestra, singers, dancers and actors will support Steele on stage for an 11-week run of 'The Glenn Miller Story'.
Miller died in 1944, after his plane went missing over the English Channel on his way to Paris to entertain WWII troops.
Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright team up to direct the show, having previously helmed Blood Brothers and Evita together.
