Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini today met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during which the two leaders agreed to strengthen counter- terror cooperation.
"Prime Minister Modi and Ms. Mogherini discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest," the PMO said in a statement after the meeting here.
"The Prime Minister and Ms. Mogherini agreed on the need to strengthen the security cooperation between India and EU, particularly on the issue of counter-terrorism," it added.
During the meeting, Modi recalled his successful visit to Brussels in March last year for the India-EU Summit and said that he was looking forward to the next Summit to be held in India in October 2017.
