Naresh Kumar alias Doctor, who has previously been arrested 28 times in admission-fraud cases, was nabbed yesterday from Dwarka, while his associate Shubham Jindal was held from Karol Bagh, said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner (Crime) of Police.
Raja Garden-resident Ripan Wadhwa had recently filed a complaint at Moti Nagar police station that he was duped of Rs 51 lakh by Naresh, Shubham, Shakti Upadhyay and Bittoo who had promised admission to his son at prestigious medical colleges.
Following the registration of complaint, probe was launched and the two held, Yadav said, adding further investigation is underway.
Naresh graduated from Ramjas College and later did his MA (Philosophy) from Hindu College and was arrested 28 times in the past in similar cases which are pending trial, he said.
Shubham did his B.Tech (IT) from Kurukshetra University and later did MBA from a private college in Delhi, he added.
