Toyota sales up 15% in August

However, exports in August declined by 10.24 per cent

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Thursday reported 15 per cent rise in domestic sales to 12,801 units last month.

The company had sold 11,161 units in August last year.

However, exports in August, 2016 declined by 10.24 per cent to 1,244 units as against 1,386 units a year ago, TKM said in a statement.

TKM Director and Senior Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) N Raja said: "We launched the Innova Crysta petrol last month and have received a very good response from the market. Being the first in its segment, the petrol variant will further contribute to the success of the new Innova Crysta.
