S Gupta (28) was abducted on December 9 when he was on his way to his showroom at Paschim Vihar.
The abductors had demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore from Gupta's family members. Subsequently, the father of the trader had approached the police and a case was registered.
The police went to around 250 houses in the locality with Gupta's photographs, said M N Tiwari, Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer Delhi).
During interrogation, Manish told the police that he used to work at Gupta's Karol Bagh godown years ago.
