Traffic cops today towed away a wrongly parked police vehicle in Kothibagh area of the city, an incident which their chief cited on social media to stress on tough action against violators irrespective of who they are.
"Equality before law, ladies and gentleman," Inspector General of Traffic Police Basant Rath said in a tweet which was posted along with a photograph of the police vehicle being towed away.
The vehicle belonging to Kothibagh police station was parked wrong and the traffic cops lifted it.
Rath, who took over as IG Traffic recently, has received praise and brickbats in equal measure for his style of improving traffic system in the state.
