According to the police, the victim, who lived with her family in Assam, was lured to Delhi for a job by a placement agency.
Based on complaint filed by her family members, Guwahati police registered a case and sought help from Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Crime Branch of Delhi Police to locate the girl in the national capital.
According to the police, AHTU officials reached at the new address of placement agency, which was situated in Shakurpur area and after examining the records of the placement agency they learnt the girl was employed as a domestic worker in Delhi's West Enclave area.
"We have informed the girl's family members about her location and further investigation is on," official also said.
