The action-adventure movie, directed by Baltasar Kormakur, is based on the real-life 1996 story of a Mount Everest expedition that ended in the deaths of eight climbers, reported People Magazine.
The two-minute-thirty-second promo shows Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, Clarke, John Hawkes, Sam Worthington and Michael Kenny hiking through seemingly impossible frozen, rocky terrain before getting hit by a storm.
Also starring Keira Knightley, Robin Wright and Clive Standen, "Everest" is expected to release on September 18.
