Train derails after colliding with dumper

A passenger train collided with a dumper on Indore-Mhow meter gauge section following which a coach derailed.
However, no one was injured in the accident, a railway spokesman said today.
The mishap took place at around 8 PM yesterday near Rajendra Nagar station when the dumper, while disposing material near railway line came close to the track following which it was hit by the Akola-Indore passenger train, Ratlam rail division's PRO Jitendra Kumar Jayant told reporters.
The railway emergency operations were pressed into service and the track was restored after nearly four hours, he said.
A case has been registered and railway officials were further probing the incident, he added.
