Radhakrishnan today flagged off the train service between Kanayakumari and Punalur, which was announced in the Railway budget.
The train was flagged off at Kanyakumari railway station at 2:35 PM.
The train would reach Punalur via Nagercoil, Thirvananthapuram, Kollam, and Kottarakarai and reach Punalur at 08:10 PM.
In the return direction the train would leave Punalur at 06.15 AM and reach Kanyakumari at 1.05 PM, a release said.
