Train services hit as cold and fog conditions prevail in Raj

As many as 20 trains were affected by the intense fog in Rajasthan with cold wave conditions remaining unabated dipping the minimum temperature to minus 0.5 degree Celsius.
20 trains were running late under North Western railway due to dense fog and three reached destinations late, NWR spokesperson said.
According to the spokesperson, two trains were partially cancelled and four were cancelled.
Foggy conditions prevailed in areas like Pilani, Jaipur, Bikaner, Churu, Gangangar among others, MeT department said.
Meanwhile, cold conditions were unabated in Rajasthan with the minimum temperature dipped to minus 0.5 degree Celsius in Bikaner district.
Churu, on the plains recored a minimum temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, while the low at Mount Abu, the hill resort in the state settled at 4.6 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature at Jaisalmer and Pilani was recorded at 5.2 and 5.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
The mercury in SriGanganagar dipped to 6.3 degrees Celsius while Jaipur's was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius and Ajmer recorded minimum temperature of 8 degrees Celsius.
