Transport Min, SIAM-SAFE to create awareness on road safety

The road transport ministry, industry bodies SIAM and Society of Automotive Fitness and Environment (SAFE) have come together to spread awareness regarding road safety to curb the high number of accidents in the country.
Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures (SIAM) and SAFE, which organises 'inspection clinics' for in-use vehicles and training workshops for pollution checking technicians in various parts of the country, have joined hands with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to curb high number of accidents in India, SIAM said in a statement.
"SIAM-SAFE are totally committed towards spreading the message of road safety. SIAM-SAFE with full support from the members will organise programme across 4,200 automobile dealers network across the nation...With an objective of reducing fatalities," Vishnu Mathur, Director General, SIAM said.

Management consultancy firm keen to make Goa startup hub * To support the Centre's initiative 'Startup India, Standup India', a management consultancy firm has expressed interest in making Goa a startup hub of the country.
"Goa has tremendous potential to become the startup capital of the country. We are very keen to support and assist the Goa government by creating an ecosystem pertaining to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Startup India,Standup India initiative," Mayuresh Pawar, Vice President, StelCore Management Services Private Limited told reporters here today.
The Prime Minister launched the campaign today to give a boost to the startups in the country.
"We are delighted to carry forward the vision of our the Prime Minister and align with 'Start-up India, Standup India', and we are keen to provide a platform for the young entrepreneurs from Goa," Pawar said.
"We would like to assist the Goa government by creating a 'industrial policy framework' than a detailed blueprint, aimed at defining the broad contours of the government's mission towards augmenting the industrial development of the state," he added.
