Trials for junior handicap cricket team on Aug 31 in Agra

After consistent performances of the senior Indian handicap cricket team in Thailand and Bangladesh, the Disabled Sporting Society is now organising a trial for the selection of players to form a junior team.
The trials will take place on August 31 at the Eklavya Sports stadium, Agra.
"We will be organising an Asia Cup for the handicap players in February 2015, for which we are looking for some talented players in order to strengthen the team, such players will be closely monitored in these trails," Haroon Rashid Secretary, Disabled Sporting Society, said today.
The Junior team will go on a tour to Bangladesh in the first week of November whereas the seniors will go to Sri Lanka in October.
The senior team will also participate in a quadrangular series in Pakistan starting from December 3 on the occasion of World Handicap Day.
Players of the junior team will be further selected on the basis of their performance in the Pakistan tour and Asia Cup.
Players from various states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh are expected to participate in these trials.
The trials will be conducted by some of the senior players of Indian handicap team like Ravindra Pal Sharma, Vishal Sharma and Ramesh Chand Pehelwan.
