Tribal food platter at environment festival

Long time back, even before the agrarian society and the cultivation wasn't structured enough, people used to collect their foods from trees, plants in forests, an organic and healthy lifestyle.
In order to celebrate the bio cultural diversity of India's tribal foods, the the ongoing CMS Vatavaran Film Festival is attempting to showcase different varieties of such organic foods being own and used in different parts of the country.
Indigenous forest people of our oldest surviving tribes from seven states are showcasing their products here. Stalls from Bihar, Rajasthan, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand show different kinds of vegetables, fruits, rice, drinks among many other food products which are tastier, more hygienic and planted without using any kind of chemicals.

'Raagi Pakoda' from Odisha, 'Air Potato' from Rajasthan and 'Mahua Laddoo' from Chhattisgarh are some of the preparations which offer a taste of fresh produce from rural area and there are lot many seeds, fruits and vegetables about which people in the urban areas are unknown.
