Munda on his 115th death anniversary, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said the martyr's struggle inspires people to fight for one's rights.
Garlanding the statue of Birsa Munda here, Soren said the day is very important for the people because the tribal icon's aims and values that he struggled for, have become a guiding force.
He said Birsa Munda's work inspired people to struggle for one's rights, adding the patriot had strong will power and had been a visionary who lent his leadership to fight the British.
Former chief minister Shibu Soren was also present on the occasion to mark the day.
