Tributes paid to Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary

Speaker of Assembly V Sabapathy led the Union Territory of Puducherry to pay floral tributes at the statue of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his 126th birth anniversary here today.
Ministers, legislators and chairpersons of different public sector undertakings were among those who paid homage at the statue braving inclement weather.
General Secretary of ruling AINRC V Balan, MLA, paid tributes at the portrait of Nehru on the premises of the AINRC party office. Ministers, legislators and freedom fighters were among those present.
PCC leader A Namassivayam led the functionaries of the opposition Congress, legislators and delegates of different wings of the party to pay homage at the portrait of Nehru on the premises of the Congress party office.
