Mehta, a veteran BJP leader from the city, died at the age of 78 on November 7.
Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar said Mehta was known as 'Bhuleshwar no Bhawani' (Bhawani of Bhuleshwar) and 'Durga of Dakshin Mumbai'.
She used to say that her entire career was unblemished and that was her biggest achievement, Shelar reminisced.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, BJP MP Gopal Shetty, Maharashtra ministers Vinod Tawde, Vidya Thakur, the late leader's family members and many others attended the condolence meet.
