Dadi, a senior partner of Crawford Bayley and Company, passed away after a brief illness at 82. He was a mentor to generations of lawyers.
Speaking at a condolence meet in south Mumbai this evening, leading lights from legal and business fraternity remembered Dadi as an endearing personality and a legal luminary.
Jimmy F Pochkhanawalla, senior counsel of Supreme Court, said, "I would like to celebrate the life of Dadi. We cherish his memory. He was an ace lawyer and a great human being."
"He had the knack of taking a drab subject and twist it around," Pochkhanawalla, said, referring to Dadi's 'wit and humour'.
Pochkhanawalla, also spoke of the 'total and selfless love' Dadi and his wife had for each other.
"He took pride that those who worked with him progressed in life," he said.
