Defiant Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Kunal Ghosh today threatened to "reveal many things" if he was arrested in the Saradha chit fund case.
Ghosh, who along with two other MPs was served show-cause notices for anti-party comments, also demanded an intra-party inquiry panel to divulge information before the party leadership.
"I have sent a letter to party general secretary Mukul Roy stating I have many things to say before the party. I have demanded that an intra-party inquiry commission be set up so that I can register my statements before the party leadership, which can't be revealed before an administrative inquiry commission," Ghosh, who was till recently close to the party top leadership, said.
Meanwhile, senior party leader Partha Chatterjee, in a bid to send across a strong message to Ghosh and two other party MPs Satabdi Ray and Tapas Pal, said stern action would be taken against them, if needed.
"The party disciplinary committee has taken serious note of the anti-party comments made by Kunal Ghosh, Satabdi Ray and Tapas Pal. We are serving them show-cause notices. We won't tolerate any indiscipline. If needed, we will take stern steps against any kind of indiscipline," Chatterjee, the state industry minister, told a media conference.
Ghosh had last Friday made some comments at a public function along with the two Lok Sabha MPs that irked the party leadership which immediately decided to issue show-cause letters to them for alleged anti-party activity.
The three MPs shared the dais with another party MP Somen Mitra and his wife Sikha Mitra, a dissident TMC MLA.
Ghosh, who was talking to the media after coming out of the Bidhannagar Commissionerate here following a four-hour grilling in connection with the Saradha chit fund scam, said he was yet receive any show-cause notice from the party.
