"The whole of the world feel the need for a greater understanding of linkages between bio-diversity conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation and bio-diversity based livelihoods of local communities which is drawing the attention of world leaders," Tripathy said while releasing a book titled 'Bio-diversity of Raj Bhavan' at his official residence here today.
"The threat of climate change, which has no boundary, has further emphasised the importance of the issue and facilitated to find solutions to restore rapidly vanishing forests and biodiversity," he stressed.
Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor Trilochon Shing, and Chairman West Bengal Biodiversity Board Dr A K Sannyal were also present at the launch of the book at the Raj Bhavan.
