Tripura government is working on a comprehensive plan to establish two elephant conservation reserves to make natural habitats for the jumbos.
While one would come up at Gandhari in Gomati district spreading over 61.4 KM, another at Atharamura Hill Range in Khowai and adjacent Dhalai districts covering an area of 125 KM, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, A K Gupta said today.
For the purpose, a consultative meeting of forest officials and local representatives was likely to take place in June-July, Gupta said.
